Behavioral Neuroscience

The Department of Psychology offers the student independent research at both the M.A. and Ph.D. level in close collaboration with faculty interested in Behavioral Neuroscience. The emphases are on basic research training in Pavlovian/instrumental conditioning, developmental psychobiology, psychopharmacology, cardiovascular psychobiology and stress, neurotoxicology, and neural network modelling. Course requirements are structured around a flexible core curriculum that permits specialization and concentration of research during graduate training. Students are also encouraged to collaborate with faculty from other areas in Psychology and in the related behavioral and biomedical sciences.
