IMPORTANT:
This will be a high profile event with advertising via the internet, local
newspapers, posters, etc. It is absolutely critical that each laboratory
have at least one poster displayed and that all neuroscience faculty
make every available attempt to attend this national "Brain Awareness
Week" event. Our sponsors will be displaying booths and distributing
materials. The general public will be invited to view and interact with
neuroscience researchers and other neuroscience and mental health providers,
as well as with not-for-profit volunteer based organizations.
A huge effort has been made in organizing this event and expenses have been incurred. We have started reinvigorating the WCSN and hope that neuroscientists will feel sufficiently pleased with our efforts and support us by paying their WCSN annual dues and attending the events.
Brain Awareness Month activities in Manitoba are part of WCSN's participation in the Society For Neuroscience's Brain Awareness Week 2000. Check out the international Brain Awareness Week web site.
